Here We Go!

Hello! This isn't actually Kris - it's Amy. You see, Kris is under the weather so I get to write her first post! What an honor. Seriously, how many people would you trust with your blog? So I figured I'd tell y'all a little bit about my friend Kris. How about we do it kind of like a meme? I'll list as many things as I can think of about her so that you can get to know her a little better.

1. She's married to Darrin - he's a pretty swell guy. They've been hitched for 13 years now? (Maybe 14 - I can't remember)

2. She looks HOT with her short hair. Seriously, you'd look hot too with this do - but only if you had the right attitude to pull it off!

3. She's got 5 crazy, creative and hilarious kids! They keep her on her toes, but she's good at keeping up with them.

4. She's a neat freak - as much as she can be with five kids. She puts me to shame with the amount of cleaning she does every day!

5. She's lived in Utah most of her life - except when she served a mission in Chile.

6. She speaks Spanish because of #5 and so she can totally eavesdrop on people in the checkout line at the grocery store - I'm so jealous.

7. She loves to read. But only trashy LDS love stories. And mysteries. And adventures. Okay, she likes to read a lot of different things.

8. She really likes Diet Coke and peanut butter M&M's. If she's having "a day" all I have to do is make sure she's got those and it automatically makes the world a better place to be. In fact, I think that's how I bribed her to be my friend... (Personally, I like to have a Dr. Pepper and an entire bag of Oreos when I'm having "a day." Or if I'm being bought. Diamonds or cash work too. Just saying.)

9. She's a pretty patient lady. We talk on the phone often and I hear her when she's talking to her kids - rarely does she raise her voice. Why can't I be more like that, I wonder?

10. Finally, she's a really good friend. As Anne of Green Gables would say, "She's a kindred spirit, a true bosom friend!"
